When to Call the Doctor
It is important to call Dr. Bergman after-hrs if your child has any of the following symptoms:
- fever ( >100.4 degrees rectal) in an infant from birth to 3mo. old
- fever ( >102.5 degrees) in any child over 3mo. old
- colicy baby, unconsolable
- difficulty breathing, shortness of breath, wheezing
- persistent vomiting and/or diarrhea, poor urination or fluid intake
- urinary pain/frequency
- unusual skin rash
- possible head injuries/falls
- fainting spell, seizure
- possible poisoning
- child appears very sick to parent
